Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Return of Rome DLC Now Available

The Return of Rome DLC for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is now available on PC. This DLC includes 17 civilizations, 3 new campaigns, a new game mode, and an additional civilization (the Romans) added to the base game. The DLC is inspired by the 1998 expansion for Age of Empires, "The Rise of Rome", and offers both familiar and new content for players.

What Is Included in Return of Rome?

Return of Rome is a new type of DLC for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, offering classic Age of Empires gameplay and style as a brand-new self-contained experience. The DLC includes all 16 original Age of Empires civilizations, plus the new Lac Viet civilization, which is exclusive to Return of Rome. The DLC also includes 3 new campaigns: Sargon of Akkad (Sumerians), Pyrrhus of Epirus (Macedonians), and Trajan (Romans). Additionally, the D3 Game Mode is introduced, which challenges players with a new way to play.

New Achievements List!

The DLC also includes a new achievements list, which includes achievements for completing campaigns, winning games as specific civilizations, and achieving specific goals within the game.
