DRG Legacy Version Stays Available

Hello Miners,

Last week, we informed you that the Legacy version of Deep Rock Galactic (DRG) would be removed after the Five Year anniversary event. However, after receiving feedback from many players, the Ghost Ship Crew has decided to keep the Legacy edition available.

The original plan was to provide players with a fun retrospect into how much DRG has evolved in the last five years. But now, accessing the Legacy version will be different from how it was during the event. The Legacy version will be moved to its own Steam Branch. For details on how to access it, see this post. This way, players can access this wonderful time capsule of memories whenever they feel nostalgic.

It is important to note that the Legacy version will not be updated and will remain true to how it was when it launched. Therefore, any bugs should be considered features, including the Glyphid kind as well as the technical ones. Crashes are just a reminder to go play the Live version. In other words, players now have the option to go back to the original version whenever they feel like it, warts and all.

With the past of DRG now accessible at your leisure, the Ghost Ship Crew will go back to working on the future of DRG.
