That being said, there is a danger in simply possessing an arcanist’s tome. The tomes are, in a sense, alive. They are conduits to Apocrypha, and as such, they are not to be trifled with. If a mortal were to come into possession of an arcanist’s tome, they would be wise to seek out an arcanist and return the tome to its rightful owner.
