War Thunder Update: Bug Fixes and Changes to Destruction Mechanics

War Thunder has released an update that includes bug fixes and changes to the destruction mechanics of certain rounds. Here are the major changes:

• A bug that prevented completion of Battle tasks, Battle Pass tasks, and other tasks and achievements has been fixed.


• Trees will no longer grow on certain types of airfields in aircraft missions.


• The destruction mechanics of APDS and APCR rounds have been changed. The projectile will no longer destroy with impact, but will lose armor piercing capability depending on the thickness of the first armored obstacle and the spaces between affected armored elements.


• The fragments generation template of ground vehicles and aircraft HE shells has been changed, resulting in increased piercing capability, spray, and damage.


• The dozer blade display for the Challenger 2 has been corrected.


• Missing parts have been returned to the damage model of the SARC Mk IVA.


• Gun elevation limits dependent on the Vismod modification have been removed from the М1 KVT.


• Smoke reload at captured points has been added to the IS-2 (1944).
